Teesside Athletic Football Club based at Green Lane, Redcar are one of the most respected junior football clubs in the North East. They support the local community with excellent facilities and coaching, in turn the local community supports them with the supply of resources and players for all of the 21 teams which are associated with them. The teams range from under 8 years old right up to the senior team who currently play in the Wearside League although ambitions are held of gaining full Northern League status in the very near future.
In 2003 Teesside Athletic Football Club established its first all girls team and now has a thriving ladies section, again right up to senior level. Teesside Athletic in partnership with Grenfell Youth Club, Kirkleatham School and Kiltonthorpe School also has a dedicated section for players with disabilities from junior to senior levels.
