QUALITY ASSURANCE
SGW CONSTRUCTION GROUP LTD. has been granted certification by Construction Quality Assurance (CQA), Certificate Number: 10011.
The Quality Management Policy of SGW is published in the Corporate Quality Assurance Manual and declares the company’s commitment to providing professional and efficient construction services whilst complying with clients requirements. Each area has a set of documented procedures which implement the Quality Management Policy and BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Family of Quality Standards relevant to regional operations.
The documented procedures are mandatory and site managers are responsible for the implementation and use of the procedures on individual sites. The system is however flexible on its response to clients requirements.
Amendments to the Quality Assurance Policy are authorised by the Chairman and the Managing Director is responsible for the control and implementation of procedures in the business.
Scope – The SGW Quality Assurance Manual addresses all the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000. The regional procedure manuals document the implementation of this policy in each area.
Auditing – The implementation of the whole Quality Assurance System is audited internally. Auditors are chosen so that they audit areas for which they are not personally responsible. This gives objectivity to the auditing process. The Managing Director who also monitors corrective action also sees all audit reports.
Review – The system is regularly reviewed at regional and corporate level to ensure that it is relevant to the current needs of the business and the BS EN ISO 9001 Family of Quality Standards.
