Reduction of Carbon Emissions

SGW employees live and work predominantly in the Tees Valley area, which means we have a reduced carbon footprint compared to contractors from outside the region. Recognising that driving within the speed limit reduces fuel consumption and costs, all new company vans are installed with speed limiters of 62mph to reduce CO2 emissions. All drivers undergo a risk assessment programme to encourage them to drive more fuel-efficiently. A number of our staff also participate in a car-sharing scheme.
