Renewable Energy

SGW Construction Group and its sister company, Energy 55°, are working together to provide sustainable energy solutions, including:

• Self-contained micro power stationsoperating on renewable fuels

• Photovoltaic panels

• Heat recovery systems

• Energy consultancy services

The significance of these cutting-edge features is that, if introduced at the design stage of a project, there is a real opportunity to generate an income stream from our systems.

Self Contained Micro Power Stations

Energy 55° has developed the first bio-mass micro power station capable of producing up to 2MWh of electricity either for small specific consumption or larger National Grid requirements, with up to 80% efficiency.

Because these systems are renewable, they are exempt from the climate change levy and are eligible for the Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) credit scheme, where energy created through these systems can be sold back to the National Grid.

Due to the bespoke nature of our systems, the opportunities for using this technology are not restricted to large scale operations. Systems can even be developed for individual domestic properties.
